What’s a DIY blog doing with a cookbook?
That’s an excellent question, and if you’re new around here, here’s the scoop:
When To Work With My Hands launched in November 2013, it started with just a handful of DIY projects, but gradually grew to include quite a few topics during the first year of publication.
By the summer of 2016 you could find posts on gardening, goal-setting, DIY projects, kitchen and organization tips, four running series on herbs, bread baking, garden plants, and the sweet spots of life, AND recipes! Needless to say, the content was broad.
Over the summer I made the tough decision to narrow the focus, eliminate all but the DIY posts, and take the blog back to its original purpose. It was a good decision, but dropping so much content wasn’t easy, and I had lots of inquiries and requests for favorite recipes that were no longer available.
So, I decided to save the recipes that were on the blog. Since then I’ve been editing and compiling them into a collection that I’m excited to have available this spring.
