2018 was the Year of the Thrift Store here on the blog. Check out the best of 2018 with these top five posts that were most visited this year.
The very last week of the year is my favorite! It’s a time I set aside to look back at what worked, what didn’t, and to look forward to the new year with fresh goals and plans.
It’s also the time I look back over the blog and do the same. I love seeing which posts were most visited, and favorites. And, I love to share them with you too!
Apparently, this was the Year of the Thrift Store, because each of the top 5 posts were thrifted projects and shopping tips!
Here’s a look at the top 5 posts. Did your favorite make the list?
How to Thrift Shop Like a PRO – Think Outside the Box is Hack Number 5 in the series, and also the 5th most popular post of the year.
This little floral wreath sits on a thrifted base of wooden napkin rings, showing how “thinking outside the box” practically works. Don’t pass up them up the next time you see them, because I’m sure they’re probably lurking around at nearly every thrift store out there!
Personally, I’m really kind of thrilled that this project made the top 5 posts. It’s one of my favorites!
It’s also super simple and those projects are some of the best – quick, easy, simple, and useful. There’s probably not another one like it anywhere, which I also love. It’s an ideal project to spark inspiration for your own unique planter.
This one possibly resonated with lots of readers because it’s probably a pretty common way to shop – just go in, browse around, and see what’s appealing.
It’s definitely the hack I use every single time I shop. Sometimes I use a few others too, but this one is a shopping staple, and landed an interesting candle holder just begging for a new job.
You may not even know it, but this post was the birthplace of the How to Thrift Shop Like a PRO series. It took off quickly and continues to get a steady stream of traffic.
Surprisingly, it’s a crazy simple project, but coupled with the shopping tips, it made a great combination. After its initial success, it seemed perfectly fitting to launch a series of posts sharing all ten hacks in greater detail, paired with projects using each of them.
Number 1: How to Thrift Shop Like a PRO – Hack One
And the most popular post of 2018 is the lead post in the How to Thrift Shop Like a PRO series: Shop for Pieces and Parts!
As the oldest post in the series, it’s no wonder it gained top spot. Plus, shopping for pieces and parts is a hack with loads of potential for the most amazing repurposed thrift store projects.
And that’s a wrap for 2018!
There’s more thrift store projects headed your way in 2019, along with new tips and crafts.
Thanks for hanging out with me this year; I look forward to sharing a creative new year with you!
